The Wotja V20 app range includes two creator player variants - a paid-for version and a free version (see below).
The features and capabilities that each operates with is called its Feature Set (abbreviation FS) or Feature Mode (AKA 'Mode'). There are 3 distinct Feature Sets, these being Pro, Play and Lite - see the Feature Set Table below.
Wotja Pro 20
A paid-for app with a Pro Feature Set (AKA 'Pro Mode'), meaning all Feature Set Restrictions are unlocked. These versions have no In-App Store, are only available in 2020 and will get all relevant Wotja V20 updates during the course of that year.
Wotja V20
A free app with a default Lite Feature Set (FS) (AKA 'Lite Mode'). These versions get rolling updates whatever the year.
The iOS & macOS versions include an In-App Store that allows purchase of monthly "Dual" In-App Subscriptions that work in both. Subscriptions are easy to cancel should you no longer wish to Subscribe.

Wotja is a massive labour of love. We price it as low as we possibly can (pre-cursors such as SSEYO Koan Pro were as much as $200) and we update it regularly, too. Note: Special Options Subscriptions are only available in the Wotja In-App Store in the free iOS and macOS versions.
Special Options (SO) Subscriptions serve 2 primary purposes:
- Optional Tip Jar: Allows tip jar donations to be easily made (fans, super-fans etc.)
- Subscriptions are easy to cancel at any time. One-off contribution? Just cancel it after taking it out!

It's easy to take out a Special Options Subscription:
- Get the free iOS or macOS version.
- Launch the app and go to the Wotja In-App Store.
- Purchase the Special Options Subscription you want.
- Cancel it if you no longer need it (i.e. Businesses) or otherwise if/when you want to.

Live Use ('LU') [Specialist Use Case]
IMPORTANT: Live Use ('LU') is nothing to do with making "Recordings". See: Commercial Use of Recordings.
EULA definition of Live Use ('LU'):
"Live Use ('LU') means means using the Software to generate music for use as live music (as opposed to recorded music) e.g. for use as live background or foreground music and specifically excludes Live Use Public Broadcast."
Personal Live Use ('LU')
Examples of Personal Live Use ('LU'):
- Using a Wotja app to generate live background music in your home, studio, garden, greenhouse or home office etc. for your own private, non-commercial, use.
All Wotja V20 apps are licensed for Personal (PE) Live Use ('LU').
Commercial Live Use ('LU')
Examples of Commercial Live Use ('LU'):
- Use of a Wotja app by any business or entity to generate continuous live background or foreground music for any commercial purpose e.g.
- in a foyer, lift or hotel room etc.
- in a store or any business premises etc.
- for an art installation etc.
ALL Commercial Live Use ('LU') requires the relevant and active 'Special Options' Subscription.
'Special Options' Subscriptions are available only in the free iOS and macOS versions where they can be purchased in their respective In-App Stores. See the tier bands in the EULA.
Note: There are special restrictions when it comes to Commercial Live Use broadcast over the internet, radio or TV etc.
FURTHER NOTES:
- Tip: A 'Special Options' Group Subscription is also for 'Super-fans' who would like to give just a little more!
- If a 'Special Options' License Subscription lapses then you are immediately licensed only for Personal Use.
- Wotja Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time via the 'Manage Subscriptions' button in the In-App Store.

Free V20 apps for iOS/macOS
- The Wotja apps include an In-App Store allowing purchase of optional Subscriptions; as of Wotja V20.6+ Subscriptions are common to both iOS and macOS versions - i.e. get Pro or Play on one, unlock that on both.
- Without an active Feature Set Subscription the Wotja apps operate with the Lite Feature Set.
- Feature Set Subscription:
- Pro - Unlocks the Pro Feature Set
- Play - Unlocks the Play Feature Set

Paid-for V20 apps (Wotja Pro 20)
Wotja Pro 21 will be the paid-for version of Wotja 21 in 2021. It will follow the same principles as set out below.
- Feature Set: The Wotja Pro 20 apps are the Paid-for versions of Wotja Pro and they all have the Pro Feature Set; the iOS version also includes a TV app and an Apple Watch app.
- Updates: The Wotja Pro 20 apps will get all relevant Wotja V20 updates only during the course of 2020. To be clear, that means there will be no updates for it in 2021 or later. See the FAQ on our Upgrade/Fullgrade model.
- Tip: Get Wotja Pro 21 if you want further updates in 2021, or Wotja Pro 22 for updates in 2022 etc.
- Pricing: For all app stores other than Google Play our pricing for all paid-apps is in USD and is a sales tax inclusive price. Google Play does things differently and we have to set a net rice in GBP to which sales taxes are then added. That means the Google Play USD price shown above is just an approximation (hopefully not too far off!).
- Alternatives (iOS/macOS): Get the Subscription version and take out a Pro Feature Set Subscription (see above).
Wotja V20 Requirements
iOS (iPhone, iPad, iPod touch):
- iOS 11+ or later; iPhone, iPod touch, iPad.
- MIDI Out/In (Pro versions): CoreMIDI, Virtual MIDI.
- Wotja for iOS is a universal binary and supports standard and retinal displays for iPhone and iPad.
tvOS (Apple TV):
- tvOS 12.2+; Apple TV and Apple TV 4K, 4th Generation or later.
watchOS (Apple Watch):
- watchOS 5.3+; Apple Watch Generation 1 or later.
macOS (Macbook, MacBook Pro etc.):
- macOS 10.12 or later; 250 MB hard disk space, 512MB RAM; Intel Mac; 64-bit (Universal binary installed). Please note that Wotja runs as a 64-bit application only.
- MIDI Out/In (Pro versions): CoreMIDI, Virtual MIDI.
Windows (PC, laptop):
- Windows 10; 250 MB hard disk space, 512MB RAM. Please note that Wotja runs as a 64-bit application only.
- MIDI Out/In (Pro versions): Windows MIDI services.
Android (Mobile, Tablet, Laptop):

- MIDI Out/In (Pro versions): Support for MIDI Out/In is experimental and device dependent - requires appropriate device support and hardware interface on Android. If you really do need MIDI Out/In then before purchasing the annual version first try to see if you can get it working on your device with the free version of Wotja.
- Note: The Amazon versions required the Amazon Appstore to be installed and that you are logged into your account.
