To use any of these FREE items from Intermorphic you will need to have the required version of Wotja installed and it must be running in 'Pro' mode (loading of SF2 or Zips from the file system is not supported in 'Lite' mode). See: How do I go 'Pro'? and Why go 'Pro'?
Tip: Audio Paks allow any included loops to be pitch-shifted and time-stretched to fit a mix.
FREE and licensed for use in Wotja 'Pro' mode, these Wotja SF2 Soundfont Paks from Intermorphic are zipped "Paks" of SF2 Soundfonts. Easily make your own Soundfont Pak(s) - see the Wotja Pak Maker SF2 section of the Wotja User Guide!
FREE for use in Wotja 'Pro' mode, these Wotja Audio Paks from Intermorphic are zipped "Paks" that include audio samples together with (as required) information on the audio sample tempo(s) and root(s). Audio samples can only be added to existing mixes, and that is via the Templates List. Easily make your own Pak(s) - see the Wotja Pak Maker section of the Wotja User Guide!
Each of the 15 Paks also includes loop root/tempo info - so you can just drop the loops into Wotja.
Yours to use in our apps provided you have downloaded them from the Intermorphic website.
These Loop Paks include only audio files. They do NOT include Templates (.noatikl files), meaning they cannot be used in Randomization Presets. You can only see these Paks in the left hand column of the Templates Listwhen you go to add a Template to a Cell in an EXISTING mix.
In the left side of the Template list find and tap on a Loop Pak, e.g."IM AL Ambient_080a" (the Loop Pak(s) will be near the bottom and have a name "IM AL *something*").
Tap on any one of the templates in right hand list to select/preview it.
Tap the top right "Load" button and you will be returned to Mix Edit Mode. As these are WAV loops (and not generative templates) you NOT will see a Generator Network in the right hand panel, i.e. it will be blank.
Tip: Audio Loops can ONLY be added to an existing mix; they cannot be used in Randomization Presets.
FREE Template Paks
FREE for use in Wotja 'Pro' mode, these Wotja Template Paks from Intermorphic are zipped "Paks" that include Wotja Templates (.noatikl files). In the case of the MDB Pak below they also include and custom SF2 files. See also the Wotja Pak Maker section of the Wotja User Guide.
Includes 77 MDB SF2 files (22kHz, mono, created back in 1998 from loops and samples owned by the awesome Zero-G and now made available for free).
Includes the 100 MDB generative Koan SKD templates that referenced them (but converted to Wotja Templates (.noatikl) which you can add to a mix and use in Randomization Presets for automatic mixes, mix randomization, Flow etc.).
In the left side of the Template list find and tap on a Pak e.g. "IM_ZG_MorphingDrum+Bass".
Tap on any one of the templates in right hand list to select/preview it.
Tap the top right "Load" button and you will be returned to Mix Edit Mode. As these are generative templates you will see a Generator Network in the right hand panel.
Tip: To see the SF2 that has been selected tap the Synth button for one of the Generators in that template and then tap on the Wavetable unit.
FREE Pak.xml (DIY Paks)
There are plenty of free (and paid for!) audio sample collections out there for you (e.g. Computer Music have loads in their SampleRadar hub). To help get you going in making your own and for use by 'Pro' users, we provide some free Pak.xml files for the collections referenced below.
It is very easy to create pak.xml files for samples that you have downloaded and then to make Paks for your own use in Wotja. See the Pak Maker section in the Wotja User Guide.
Sample Collections
How to make your own Paks
Below are some links to 3rd party webpages with sample collections that they allow you to download from links in their pages (i.e. from their websites).
IMPORTANT: ALWAYS make sure you have the required rights to use in the way you want audio samples that you download (that is down to you).
We have made a 2 minute demo recording of a Wotja mix that references some of the audio samples; below that is a link to that mix file (should you be interested).
Tip: The mix file DOES NOT include the samples themselves - to hear it as intended you will first need to download the samples and make a Pak of them!
Download a zipped collection of audio samples, e.g. Music Radar's "SampleRadar Experimental Breaks" (see left).
Once downloaded, unzip that audio samples zip on your computer and it will expand into a folder (the one for "Experimental breaks" has various sub-folders, e.g. Bass_loops, Beats and Drum_Hits).
Then download the related Pakxml.zip (for "Experimental breaks" it downloads as "mreb-pakxml.zip").
Unzip that xml zip file to get a folder and relevant sub-folders containing the required pak.xml file(s) (for "Experimental breaks" this downloads as "mreb-pakxml.zip" and unzips to a folder "musicradar-bassline-samples-pakxml" containing 3 sub-folders (e.g. Bass_loops, Beats and Drum_hits) which contain the xml files.).
Move the pak.xml file(s) into the relevant sub-folders (e.g. move the pak.xml in the "Bass_loops" folder to that same-named folder under the extracted audio loops).
Zip e.g. the "Experimental breaks" folder to create your zipped Pak.
Copy or move this zip into your Wotja folder (under a "zips" folder if you want) and then, when you know it is there, restart Wotja.
Follow the instructions to the right of the Pak table above - i.e. for "Template Paks" or "Audio Pak"
Note: You must first have an Audio Pak installed of course!
How do I share mixes referencing the content in these or other Paks?
The Paks on this page are not embedded in our apps so for people to hear in mixes the content that is in one of them they need to first download and install the relevant Paks (and this applies to any other Pak your mix may reference). Until they have the relevant Paks installed, content cells referencing any Audio (or MIDI) Loops in such Paks will show as red to indicate the content is not present.
Why do the free Audio Pak audio loops load slowly on my device?
Some of the loops in the free Audio Paks are quite large and to be used they need to be decompressed into memory (they are in Ogg format in the Paks to make the paks as small as possible). This can take a few seconds depending on how many you use.
Can I use my own loops/content in Wotja without having to create a Pak?
If you want audio samples to be time stretched and pitch shifted to suit the mix tempo and root then you MUST create a properly formatted and zipped as an "Audio Pak", as per instructions in the Wotja Pak Maker section of the Wotja User Guide.
If you do not need them time stretched and pitch shifted then you do not need to includ a pak.xml file in the Pak.
