Feb 10th 2017, UK: Intermorphic Ltd today releases Wotja 4 for Mac®, iPhone®, iPad® and iPod touch®.
Wotja 4 is a major update to the Wotja app first released in 2014 and comes in two versions - an authoring version for iOS and a companion player app for macOS.
This release sees Wotja for iOS become a generative music authoring sytem, mixer and player all in one. It is our principal music app for 2017 and already incorporates some of the best features of our Noatikl, Mixtikl and Tiklbox mobile apps with lots more improvements to come.
Tim Cole and Pete Cole, the Intermorphic founders and brother team said “We've always been compelled to make the very best music apps we can. Our biggest challenge has been to try to balance our limited resources with our user's needs for productivity, ease of use and great results. Finding the best balance to both maintain and extend four niche, unique and artisan apps (Noatikl, Mixtikl, Tiklbox, Wotja) was proving ever more challenging each year. After four years of careful, intricate behind the scenes changes we believe that in Wotja 4 we've finally managed to consolidate the best of those apps into one forward looking win-win solution for all. We invite you to travel with us on the next stage of our journey where we look to extend and improve both Wotja and the engines it uses!”

Intermorphic Ltd was co-founded in 2007 by Tim Cole and Pete Cole. It develops creativity & relaxation ("creative relaxation") apps that use generative & cut-up techniques and builds them to help people both create ideas and to relax and enjoy the moment. The multi BAFTA Award-winning Cole brothers ("the Coles") have a history in music software innovation: they co-founded SSEYO in 1990 and from then to 2001 they created and worked on the "SSEYO Koan Music Engine", a "Generative Music" system used by Brian Eno for his seminal 1996 "Generative Music 1". SSEYO Koan software was available for Windows, Mac and Windows Mobile and in a range of variants from Standalone to Audio Plugin to Web Browser Plugin. Following Tao Group's acquisition of SSEYO in 2001, the Coles created the intent Sound System (iSS) and "SSEYO miniMIXA", one of the world's first mobile music mixers. Intermorphic secured the IP rights to the iSS and SSEYO software in Q2 2008. In 2007 it released both "Noatikl - Generative Music Composer" (the evolution to SSEYO Koan) and "Liptikl - Cut-Up & Lyric Generator". This was followed in 2008 by "Mixtikl - Generative Music Mixer" and in 2012 by "Tiklbox - Relaxing Generative Music". "Wotja - Generative Creativity System" was first released in 2014 and in 2017 the key authoring capabilities of Noatikl, Mixtikl and Liptikl together with the playlisting of Tiklbox were fully consolidated into Wotja for iOS and Wotja for macOS.
