Partikl 2 Multi-Synth : Synth, MIDI and FX Engine - Overview

Partikl is a Mixtikl application that provides various interfaces to access Mixtikl's integrated effects units & sound generators. See the Partikl User Guide for full details on the wide range of FX units and Tone Generators included (including a GM DLS Wavetable Synth).

Partikl "Mobile" [MO]: Has interfaces for the live "inline editing" of Partikl parameters; these are currently those available in the various sound effects units [FX].

Partikl "Desktop" [DT]: Has interfaces that ALSO allow the creation/editing of modular synthesiser sounds and the packaging & saving / exporting of complete self-contained Partikl files ("parts") and XML like synth and FX network descriptions. Parts are one of the kinds of content that can be mixed in Mixtikl and can include Noatikl generative music files, sound fx, synth sound definiations, DLS wavetables and MIDI files in any combination - content that is not readily available on mobile devices.

  • Partikl "Desktop" [DT]:
    • Included in Mixtikl Desktop for Mac OS X & Windows.
    • Create / edit and share your own custom synth sounds.
    • Sound generators include: a DLS MIDI Wavetable Synth, powerful modular synth, tone generators, drum synth & particle generator.
    • Modulatable FX units include: filter, reverb, chorus, delay, distortion, compressor, overdrive, amp, EQ.
    • Also use to package audio loops, MIDI, Noatikl generative music & modular synthesis into Partikl files.
    • Can work with Noatikl generative music files and DLS 1 Wavetables.
    • Also includes Interfaces as in Mixtikl Mobile
